Highland Creek Condos

East Scarborough's historic village by the Rouge and U of T Scarborough.

About Highland Creek

Highland Creek is one of Scarborough's oldest communities — a historic village in the city's far east, where the Highland Creek ravine winds down toward Lake Ontario near the mouth of the Rouge. It retains a small-town, leafy character around its old Old Kingston Road core, anchored by the University of Toronto Scarborough campus and Centennial College's Morningside campus, and surrounded by some of the most extensive parkland and ravine systems in the city. It's a quiet, green, family-oriented corner that feels a world away from downtown.

Nature and education define the area. The Highland Creek and Rouge ravines deliver kilometres of trails, the Waterfront Trail and the bluffs are close to the south, and Rouge National Urban Park — Canada's first national urban park — sits on the eastern edge. The UTSC and Centennial campuses anchor a deep student population and rental demand, while the 401 and the Highway 2A connect drivers, and GO and bus service links to the subway and downtown.

Condo and townhome buyers in Highland Creek are families, faculty, students and investors drawn by green space, the campus rental base and accessible east-Scarborough pricing. Stock is largely low-rise — townhomes and apartment-style condos suited to the village scale — with new development near the campuses. Pricing is affordable for the space and the ravine setting; it's a strong value play for buyers who prioritize nature and a campus-town feel over downtown access.
