CityPlace is the largest master-planned condo community in Canada — a forest of glass towers built over the former rail lands between Spadina Avenue, the Gardiner Expressway and the downtown core. What was once empty track is now home to tens of thousands of residents, two major parks, schools, a community centre and a pedestrian bridge linking the neighbourhood north to King West.

The neighbourhood was designed for walkable downtown living at scale. Canoe Landing Park and June Callwood Park provide rare green space among the towers, and the Canoe Landing Community Recreation Centre, two schools and a daycare are built right in. Residents are steps from Rogers Centre, Scotiabank Arena and the waterfront, and Union Station — with its GO, UP Express and subway connections — is a short walk or streetcar ride east.

CityPlace is where many Torontonians buy their first condo. Pricing is among the more accessible in the downtown core, layouts are efficient, and the sheer volume of stock means there's almost always selection. The trade-off is density and a heavy investor presence; buyers should review each building's amenities, fees and reserve fund closely, as quality varies across the community's many towers.
